|Someone calls a bank about "unauthorised overdrafts".

I asked my bank and they said "it's a service we provide to you to avoid your embarassment when you try to use your card." So I said|
"Okay, I don't want that service. I'd like my card declined if there's no money in my account."
Then they replied "Oh, well, um, it's a service we provide to you free of charge!"
So I say "It's a 'service' that I don't want. I would like my card declined please."
"Oh, well we can't do that."
"It's a free service as a part of your account. It's to help you."
"I don't want your help. I want my card declined. I do not authorize you to overdraft my account."
"Oh, well, um, but..."
This went on until I finally gave up and asked at what point my card WOULD finally get declined, and they refused to tell me that as well. I am changing banks within the next month.
