It was about 7:15am, and I was walking to work. I was walking over a railway bridge and had a perfect uninterupted view of the sky around me.|
The sun was just coming up behind me, lighting the faintest whisps of morning cloud covering the moon with the faintest pink. The moon was brilliant white, but softened by the same whispy clouds in the sky. It also had that halo it sometimes gets when the night has been cold, adding to the diffuse edges even more.
There were little patches of the faintest misty light blue sky showing through the vanishing fragile pink mist.
It looked wonderful - I've never seen a moon like it before, or since. It looked like it had been airbrushed to perfection.
I didn't have a camera. =(
